For our sales office in Cologne we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic International Sales Manager (Total video - m/w)

You are highly motivated in selling our portfolio (TV, digital and radio) to international media agencies and advertisers in a defined sales territory. Under the leadership of the Sales Director you will work closely with the international sales and marketing team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Selling the "total video portfolio" of RTL AdConnect to clients & agencies
  • Managing a portfolio of existing traditional TV clients and develop their digital revenues
  • Canvassing and bringing new business projects to our digital partners and classical local TV partners
  • Presenting our digital and TV portfolio to clients and agencies
  • Analysis of clients’ media and communication strategies, consultancy
  • Evangelize our digital knowledge and position externally on the market and internally (classical TV sales team)
  • Increase relationship with dedicated digital agencies
  • Preparing quotes, reporting and control of orders
  • Interact with our local TV and digital partners
  • Generating new creative sales ideas for our solutions Team

Your profile:

  • A minimum sales experience of 4 years
  • College or university degree in economics, business administration, social sciences, media studies or comparable education
  • 1st experience preferably in a media agency or broadcast media
  • Proven digital know-how
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working with clients
  • Analytical thinking, good presentation skills, well structured and team-based work
  • Enthusiasm for the international TV and radio markets, online affinity
  • Fluent English, other languages desirable

Ihre Herausforderungen:

  • Verstehen und Bewerten von KPIs in der TV-Mediaplanung und bei Kampagnenauswertungen
  • Strategische Beratung aller RTL AdConnect-Verkäufer und -Repräsentanten (vorwiegend in Englisch)
  • Lieferung von Argumentationen, die die Stärken des RTL AdConnect Portfolios aufzeigen
  • Eigenständige Ausarbeitung von TV-Mediaplänen, basierend auf den Zielvorgaben der Kunden
  • Unterstützung bei der Einbuchung von TV-Kampagnen
  • Erstellung und Auswertung von Ex ante-, Ex post- und Konkurrenz-Analysen
  • Optimierung von TV-Kampagnen
  • Arbeiten mit verschiedenen Planungs- und Auswertungstools
  • Erstellung von PowerPoint-Präsentationen

Ihr Profil:

  • Großes Engagement sowie ausgeprägte Kunden- und Serviceorientierung
  • Schnelle Auffassungsgabe sowie akkurate und eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise
  • Ausgeprägtes analytisches Denkvermögen und Zahlenverständnis
  • Teamgeist und Kommunikationsfähigkeit
  • Interesse, über den Tellerrand zu schauen und sich neuen Herausforderungen zu stellen

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten/Erfahrungen:

  • Mindestens 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Planung und Auswertung von TV-Kampagnen
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
  • Kompetenz, mehrere Projekte gleichzeitig zu managen
  • Organisationstalent, Zuverlässigkeit und Belastbarkeit
  • Sicherer Umgang mit den MS-Office Tools, insbesondere Excel und PowerPoint

RTLAdConnect is the international total video sales house of RTL Group. We provide simplified access to all of RTL Group’s total video portfolio as well as from external mandates like itv in the UK or RAI in Italy across a sum of 12 markets, over 100 TV channels and 300 online platforms. Our job is to deliver exclusive advertising solutions in safe premium digital and broadcast media environments to millions of potential customers across Europe – every day.

Your challenge:

  • Strategic counselling of all RTL AdConnect sales persons, agents as well as direct clients with reference to Total Video Planning in accordance with the portfolio of RTL AdConnect (mainly in English) with focus on digital video campaigns on our portfolio
  • Elaboration of Total Video Planning for all kinds of specifically digital Video campaigns, based on the objectives of clients
  • Support of the Planning & Performance team members who are responsible for television campaigns
  • Preparation and evaluation of pre- and post-campaign analyses
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations

  • Pronounced analytical skills and a high level of numeracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Concise and clear communication, both orally and in writing

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • At least 2-years’ experience in planning & assessing digital video campaigns in a media agency, sales house or digital agency
  • Very good command of English
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong writing, presentation and analysis skills
  • Ability to work with a team as well as under pressure
  • Experience in TV planning is a plus
