Super RTL has enlisted world-famous footballer Lukas Podolski for its children’s entertainment brand Toggo.
From late April to early June, the footballer will introduce the new slogan ‘Toggo? Läuft!’ (Toggo? The race is on!) in a sporty, fast-paced trailer.
Lukas Podolski engages in a spontaneous race with some children, during the course of which he proves that Toggo is all about putting the fun back into childhood.
The Cologne-based broadcaster is also implementing a print campaign in lots of parent magazines and showcasing Lukas Podolski at the nationwide event roadshow ‘Toggo Tour’. Super RTL is also launching a website featuring bonus material, a Jump ‘n’ Run game and a competition at toggo.de , as well as showing cinema adverts throughout Germany.
Super RTL’s Managing Director Claude Schmit explains: “As a company based in Cologne, we are particularly delighted that we were able to enlist the services of someone who originally comes from Cologne, and who is a world-renowned promotional ambassador for Super RTL. Toggo is Germany’s top children’s entertainment brand – the fact that Lukas Podolski, with his huge charisma, is assuming the role of brand ambassador, will increase brand acceptance among parents and children alike.”
Lukas Podolski adds: “I feel very strongly that children’s everyday lives should involve having fun. That’s why Super RTL is the ideal partner for me. Through my own children, I’m aware of how popular the programme is – it’s where all the fun happens. The fact that Germany’s most popular children’s broadcaster also comes from my home town, Cologne, is just the icing on the cake.”
