RTL AdConnect – the new advertising sales house for the ‘Total Video’ universe

Luxembourg/Paris, 4th of May 2017 – Following a comprehensive strategic review, IP Network will be transformed into a single point of contact for advertisers wishing to communicate outside their home territory and are keen to benefit from local expertise. As part of the strategic repositioning, IP Network will change its name to RTL AdConnect as of 4th of May 2017.
In addition to the established media partners, consisting of RTL Group’s broadcasters – including RTL Television in Germany, M6 in France, RTL-TVI in Belgium, RTL4 in the Netherlands, or radio stations like RTL Radio in France – as well as TV channels such as ITV in the UK and RAI in Italy, the new ‘total video’ proposition of RTL AdConnect also encompasses inventory of powerful multi-platform networks such as StyleHaul to international clients. At the same time, the company is leveraging RTL Group’s network of ad tech investments such as SpotX, Smartclip, Clypd and VideoAmp.
RTL AdConnect will base its full-service approach to advertisers on three pillars: uncontested reach of 160 million viewers – and potential customers – per day throughout Europe. Advertisers can rely on international insights of RTL AdConnect to identify new growth areas and connect into particular markets leveraging on data, local expertise, trend analysis and media planning – all of this in a secure, brand-safe environment. Additionally, RTL AdConnect offers advanced strategic advertising solutions through branded content and ad tech, for example with SpotX’s and Smartclip’s global programmatic video inventory.

As a result of the strategic review, IP Network will become RTL AdConnect, leveraging on the brand awareness of the ‘RTL’ brand. Accordingly, ‘RTL’ in the company’s new name represents scale, premium content, brand-safety, service and innovative advertising solutions; the ‘Ad’ does not only stand for advertising but also aims to ‘add’ value to all clients; and finally ‘Connect’ refers to the network character of the company’s international portfolio of media partners and the connection of all aspects of the total video environment: from linear TV and radio to digital. Finally, the new baseline ‘International Advertising Solutions’ neatly sums up in three words what RTL AdConnect aims to offer to the market.
The rebranding and corporate identity of RTL AdConnect was developed inhouse by the Communications team, in close collaboration with Underscore, a London-based brand consultancy agency.
