RTL AdConnect is the international total video sales house of RTL Group. We provide simplified access to all of RTL Group’s total video portfolio as well as from external mandates like ITV in the UK or RAI in Italy across a sum of 12 markets, over 150 TV channels and 500 online platforms. Our job is to deliver exclusive advertising solutions in safe premium digital and broadcast media environments to millions of potential customers across Europe – every day.

Unter der Leitung des Sales Directors arbeitest du eng mit dem internationalen Vertriebs- und Marketingteam zusammen.

Dein Aufgabenbereich:

Präsentation und Vertrieb unseres Digital- und TV-Portfolios (Total Video) bei Kunden & Agenturen ist unser Kerngeschäft.

  • Du baust Beziehungen zu relevanten Kunden und Agenturen auf und betreust und entwickelst Bestandskunden in Bezug auf unsere Märkte, Produkte und Dienstleistungen
  • Du analysierst die Medien- und Kommunikationsstrategien Deiner Kunden und erarbeitest optimierte Lösungen für sie
  • Du unterstützt das Kölner Vertriebsteam durch Angebotserstellung, Reporting sowie Auftrags- und Rechnungskontrolle
  • Ein regelmäßiger Austausch mit unseren Medienpartnern zu gemeinsamen Kunden und Projekten ist wichtig und gehört gleichfalls zu Deinen Aufgaben
  • Mit unserem Solutionsteam entwickelst Du kreative Verkaufsideen

Was Du mitbringst:

  • Du hast schon mal im Vertrieb gearbeitet und hast Spaß im Umgang mit Kunden
  • Du bringst ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in Wirtschafts-, Sozial- oder Medienwissenschaften oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung mit
  • Erste Erfahrungen in einer Mediaagentur oder in einem Medienhaus sind ein Plus
  • Digitale Medien wie Video on Demand oder YouTube sind Dir nicht fremd

    • Selling the “total video portfolio” of RTL AdConnect to clients & agencies 
    • Managing a portfolio of existing traditional TV clients and develop their digital revenues
    • Canvassing and bringing new business projects to our digital partners and classical local TV partners
    • Presenting our digital and TV portfolio to clients and agencies
    • Analysis of clients’ media and communication strategies, consultancy
    • Evangelize our digital knowledge and position externally on the market and internally (classical TV sales team)
    • Increase relationship with dedicated digital agencies
    • Preparing quotes, reporting and control of orders
    • Interact with our local TV and digital partners
    • Generating new creative sales ideas for our solutions Team

    Your profile

    • A minimum sales experience of 4 years
    • University degree in economics, business administration,
    • Social sciences, media studies or comparable education
    • 1st experience preferably in a media agency or broadcast media
    • Proven digital know-how
    • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working with clients
    • Analytical thinking, good presentation skills, well structured and
    • team-based work
    • Enthusiasm for the international TV and radio markets, online affinity
    • Fluent English, other languages desirable

    Your profile

    • A minimum media experience of 5 years
    • College or University degree
    • Experience preferably in a media agency, broadcast or digital media

    What we are looking for:

    You are highly motivated in selling our Digital portfolio to media agencies and advertisers that plan and execute their media strategy on an international level. Under the leadership of the Digital Sales Director, you will work closely with the international sales leads and marketing teams. The position will be based in our Netherlands office, in RTL NEDERLAND building in Hilversum

     Key responsibilities:

    • Develop digital sales turnover of RTL AdConnect by selling the Total Video portfolio of RTL AdConnect to advertiser, agencies, and trading desks and experience working with advertisers and agencies spanning multiple locations
    • Define the strategic approach towards agencies and trading desks that are handling international advertisers on multi country campaigns
    • Meet on a weekly basis the agency HUBs and trading desks in DACH region, Nordics, and the Netherlands with ability to engage with both C-levels and planners and buyers at agenciesWork closely with the Business Unit Directors of DACH/Benelux and Nordics to develop new international media business
    • Manage a portfolio of existing digital advertiser and grow their digital revenues solely and with your team
    • Promote the relationship and further develop our digital offering with our media companies
    • Work closely with the Digital Ad Ops Team based in London and our Marketing team in Paris
    • Support, contribute and drive the global digital transformation of the whole company
    • Remotely motivate, lead by example, and manage a team of 2 – 3 team sales managers
    • Will be accountable for ensuring that the highest social and environmental responsibility and standard are maintained in all internal and external interactions, when allowed

      Preferred qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years digital media sales experience with established network at media agencies and trading desks in the Netherlands
    • Complete understanding of the media holding groups and the media agency world
    • Proven commercial selling, pitching, and closing capability and exceeding a sales quota
    • Deep knowledge and comprehension of programmatic advertising
    • Excellent organization and prioritization skills with a problem-solving attitude
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across a broad range of technical and non-technical people
    • Expected to be exceptional manager that has ability to lead teams, promote team-based behaviors, fostering culture and results orientation
    • Company language is English. German and French language skills are a plus

Under the leadership of our Digital Sales Director UK/US, you will work closely with the international sales leads and marketing teams. The position is based in our UK office, in Central London.

    The opportunity:

    • Selling our Total Video portfolio of RTL AdConnect to advertiser, agencies, and trading desks by executing 5+ external sales meetings per week
    • You will be both selling and co-selling our multi-market premium video inventory generated by our O&O AVOD available in 12 countries and our pre-roll inventory generated by our O&O YouTube channels with on a global scale
    • Strengthen and grow our relationships with Holding groups, digital agencies and trading desks that work with multi-country advertiser campaigns
    • Work closely with our Digital Planning and Execution Team to secure strong campaign deliveries
    • Pro-active sales manner in getting in new briefs
    • Managing and growing a portfolio of existing advertisers and agencies and growing their digital revenues
    • Preparing follow ups and re-selling our Total Video solutions to sustain growth

     Your profile:

    • 4 years minimum digital media experience
    • College or university degree
    • Enjoy working in a team as a strong team-player
    • Strong network of digital contacts at Holding groups, agency, and advertiser level – specifically GroupM and Havas international teams
    • Proven track record in digital sales, especially in video budgets
    • Strong knowledge of programmatic trading and the eco-system

    What we are looking for:

    RTL AdConnect is seeking an experienced and highly organized digital video expert who can support our growth vision with operational excellence.

    As Digital Ad Operations manager your focus will be on consulting our international sales teams in all matters of pricing, creation of media plans as well as implementation of digital campaigns. Currently the video portfolio of RTL AdConnect covers premium video across BVOD, OLV, Outstream and YouTube. You would be part of a true international environment, surrounded by digital video experts and a sales team that is talking to clients across the globe.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Receive & refine briefings from RTL AdConnect’s international sales team for digital video campaigns
    • Develop media plans and campaign recommendations for international clients to advertise across RTL AdConnect’s digital video portfolio
    • Implement and/or coordinate implementation of digital campaigns across RTL AdConnect’s digital video portfolio
    • Manage and optimize live campaigns via RTL AdConnect’s adtech
    • Report and analyze performance and pacing of running campaigns, advice sales teams and clients on optimization needs
    • Update of sales material necessary for digital video campaign facilitation (CPM dashboards, contact person database, basic offer presentations, etc.)
    • Be central, go-to source for sales colleagues on: budget levels, advertising formats and products for a digital video campaign on RTL AdConnect portfolio
    • Communicate with local partners on prices, formats, and products in digital video portfolio
    • Representing RTL AdConnect as a digital campaign specialist in discussions with clients and agencies, or for internal purposes, when needed.

    Your profile:

    • At least 3-years’ experience in managing, assessing and facilitating digital video campaigns in a media agency, sales house, digital agency or trading desk both I/O and programmatic – either from supply or demand side
    • Good knowledge of digital ecosystem
    • Extensive experience in operating adtech from sell or buy side, be proficient with standard KPI’s and metrics used in online video campaigns
    • Highly-organized way of working, structured, able to create proper documentation and to work thoroughly
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
    • Proficient in Excel and PPT
    • Experience from different digital media types included in RTL AdConnect digital portfolio is beneficial, but not needed.
