New series M – Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder (M – A City Searches for a Murderer) to air in Germany exclusively on TV Now
Although the series was originally planned to air on the pay-TV channel RTL Crime, it will now first be shown exclusively on TV Now. TV Now and RTL Crime are both run by Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, which, by broadcasting the series on TV Now, is taking account of the mounting popularity of its VoD offering by including attractive local content there. Based on the eponymous 1931 film classic by Fritz Lang, which still ranks today as one of the most important works in motion picture history, six one-hour episodes will tell the story of a city facing a series of child murders and their impact on the various classes of society.

Offering exclusive local content like M – A City Searches for a Murderer constitutes an important pillar for the relaunch of TV Now. In plans unveiled this summer to develop TV Now, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland had already announced another exclusive in-house production, namely the reality show Temptation Island – Versuchung in Paradies (Temptation Island – Temptation in Paradise). M – A City Searches for a Murderer will also subsequently be shown on the pay-TV channel RTL Crime.
