Season 14 of the RTL Show “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” (I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here) ended last Saturday evening. The final episode scored the season’s best ratings, and the entire season averaged more viewers than last year.
On Saturday evening, the “Jungle King” was also king of the ratings: Season 14 of RTL’s “Jungle Camp” ended with a season record for total audience ratings: RTL reports that a total of 6.22 million viewers – a 30-percent share of the market – tuned in to watch Prince Damien being crowned the new “Jungle King” with 80.62 percent of the votes. At its peak, 6.97 million viewers watched the big final episode, in which Sven Ottke came second and Danni Büchner third. The live broadcast from Australia attracted high market shares with 37.8 percent or 4.44 million viewers in the 14-59-year-old target group. “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” (I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here) excelled in the 14-49-year-old target group with a 44.0-percent market share or 3.04 million viewers. So in both of its target groups, the jungle camp achieved the peak ratings of the season and also exceeded the previous year’s performance.
The sixteen episodes of Season 14 of “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” were watched by an average of 5.28 million viewers aged 3 and over, or 24.6 percent of the market share. The average market share in the 14- to 59-year-old target group was 32.9 percent or 3.83 million viewers per episode of the season, while the average market share among 14- to 49-year-olds was 37.9 percent or 2.56 million viewers. The show averaged higher ratings in both target groups than in 2019.
